Carrier Neutrality
Six (6) different Tier 1 bandwidth providers call CariNet’s San Diego Campus home (AT&T, Level3, Cox, Cogent, MCI/Verizon, Telepacific). Each resides in their own facility and has connectivity that is directly connected to CariNet’s Data Centers, Colocation Facilities, and Enterprise Network. In addition to these six, CariNet’s Production Datacenters are also connected to 5 additional Carriers (Time Warner, XO, Broadwing, SBC (Legacy), & Williams (Legacy) ), bringing the grand total of Fiber carriers available to CariNet customers to eleven (11).
This tremendous diversity enables CariNet to provide Colocation Services to any customer, regardless of which Carrier or IP transit provider they wish to use.
We are truly Carrier Neutral.
Customer can order Bandwidth Services directly from the carrier of their choosing, or they can purchase CariNet’s premium Multi-homed bandwidth which consists of a BGP blend of multiple Tier 1 providers. As a final and extremely redundant alternative, some customers elect to have CariNet manage a BGP blend of two independent connections (usually one major carrier + CariNet’s multi-homed bandwidth) for them.
