FAQs
- What is the difference between "full" and "incremental" backups?
- A "full" backup is just that: a complete backup of the specified files. An "incremental" backup, as it applies to our services, is a portion of the full backup. So, a full week of daily incremental backups will combine to create one full backup.
- Are my databases backed up?
- While databases are backed up if they are in the appropriate directories, it is highly recommended that you set up a flat-file database dump on a cron job. This is recommended because databases can often be modified while a backup is being taken, which can result in a corrupt or incomplete backup. Click here for details.
