CariNet utilizes a number of industry standard solutions to provide backup services to our customers and resellers.
These backup services can mean the difference between a small inconvenience and a complete disaster. Should an issue occur, CariNet support teams will assist in restoring your data from the backup system. These backups are fully managed by CariNet and are not configurable by customers.
Please note that bandwidth used during backups does count towards your total server bandwidth.
Linux Backup Solutions using Amanda
Amanda is an open source backup application that will archive your hard drive's changes on a regular basis to our rock-solid backup cluster. Amanda backups can be purchased as an add-on to your Linux dedicated server.

Note: Additional backup storage space may be purchased for $10/mo + $10 setup.
What is the difference between “daily full” and “weekly incremental” backups? A “daily full” backup is just that; a complete backup of the specified files every day of the week. A “weekly incremental” backup, as it applies to our services, is a portion of the full backup done each day. So, a full week of weekly incremental backups will combine to create one full backup.
Windows Backup Solutions
CariNet now offers a standalone backup solution that can work with either Windows or Linux. It can also be used as a remote hard drive for archiving photos, music and other files from any computer in the world. This solution can be fully managed by the customer.
