Acceptable Use Policy

Scope

This policy applies to all CARI.net products, services, websites, and network traffic sent, stored, or accessed through CARI.net infrastructure. Customer agreements include this policy, and CARI.net may suspend or terminate services for prohibited activity.

Core Customer Duties

  • Secure your own server and hosted applications.
  • Maintain valid customer identity and contact details.
  • Ensure all downstream users also comply with this policy.
  • Configure valid forward and reverse DNS before sending mail.

Prohibited Activities

  • Unsolicited bulk email, mobile spam, forum/newsgroup spam, and address harvesting.
  • Illegal content, obscene content, harmful material, and copyright infringement.
  • Fraud, impersonation, phishing, and forged identifiers.
  • Hacking, brute-force attacks, DDoS/DoS traffic, packet abuse, and unauthorized scanning.
  • Open mail proxies or unapproved relay/proxy operation.

Enforcement

CARI.net may cooperate with law enforcement, request corrective action, suspend services, or terminate accounts. Violations can trigger fines up to $500 USD per incident, and failure to respond to abuse notices is treated as a policy violation.
